"An absurd Theatre" is a new photo series that explores what it means to find solace in the complex variations of maleness and masculinity. I am nonbinary but am culturally, sexually, and socially tethered to gay maleness. I am on a journey to recontextualize queer masculine traditions, and to find what can exist outside of these confines. This series will celebrate multitudes of queerness, pull at threads of contradiction, and seek to make whole the fractures between the two. This series also challenges the stereotypes that can form within queer social structures, and pushes against toxic ideologies like whiteness, anti-fatness, misogyny, and anti-transness.
